BOATBUILDING BASICS WORKSHOP Underway
The 2020 BOATBUILDING BASICS WORKSHOP started February 8th and will run for five Saturdays. Twelve participants working in teams of four are learning by doing as each team builds a Six-Hour canoe. The class is all hands-on and moves quickly. Everybody is working it! Visitors are welcome to drop in and see what is going on at the workspace, 1776 Columbus Rd in the Flats.
Two Saturdays are in the record book, the bottoms are on and it looks like a boat. Next week, we’re moving on to building the flotation tanks.
