CiderFest Closes the Boating Season

We closed the boating season with the making of cider and a pot-luck cook-out.  Bass Lake near Chardon was the scene of the activity.  The rustic pavilion provides indoor tables for lunch, an outdoor fireplace to take the chill off, and ample workspace for cutting apples.

To ready the apples for the press, everyone pitched in to quarter seven bushels of apples sourced from an orchard in North Royalton.

The nearby launch ramps drew a few hearty members enjoying their last  of the season’s sail, row, paddle, or electric-motor cruise.

And it’s just fun to watch it all, chit-chat and enjoy a perfect autumn day.  On to the indoor-meeting winter season!  Check out the Upcoming Events column for dates and guest speakers.
