2026 Winter Classes Schedule

Three classes form our winter line-up.  You can register on-line by clicking on SHOP on the homepage menu bar.  Here’s the rundown on each class.

INTRO TO FIBERGLASS REPAIR

Starts Wednesday January 28
Four consecutive Wednesday sessions
7:00 -9:00 PM

Fee: $195 – limit 12 participants

Learn how to repair dings, cracks and holes in a fiberglass boat. You will learn – hands on – as you repair a damaged fiberglass boat panel. You will learn how to assess a repair, how to prep the damaged area, and what materials to use. Importantly, you will learn how to finish the repair area and work with gelcoat to achieve a blended look. No fiberglass experience required.

OAR AND PADDLEMAKING

Starts Wednesday February 25
Five consecutive Wednesday sessions
7:00-9:00 PM

Fee: $175/ paddle, $225/pair of oars
Limit 4 participants

Make a paddle or set of oars to match your boat, your needs and your physical size. You will design your paddle or oars and use basic woodworking tools to bring it to life. It’s not done until it feels good in your hands! No woodworking experience required.

BASIC BOATBUILDING TECHNIQUES IN STAND-UP PADDLEBOARD CONSTRUCTION 

Starts Thursday February 19
Eight consecutive Thursday sessions
6:30-9:00 PM

Fee – $260 – limit 10 participants

Learn the basics of small boat construction by building a Stand Up Paddleboard (“SUP”). Your class will learn and practice techniques commonly used to build classic wooden boats. You will learn – hands on – how to “stitch and glue” thin plywood panels together using wire, epoxy and fiberglass tape and how to encapsulate and bond parts using epoxy. Building the deck will introduce the participants to “cedar strip construction”. At the end of the class the finished SUP can be purchased for a materials surcharge.

REFUND POLICY

Life happens.  If you need to cancel your registration kindly send a text to 216-272-3327 or e-mail cabbsmail@gmail.com.  Refunds will be given on the following schedule: More than 48 hrs. notice = 100% refund;  48 – 24 hrs. notice = 50% refund;  Less than 24 hrs. notice = No refund.
