Join us at our annual cookout / pot luck event to squeeze 7 bushels of apples into delicious cider. We have the pavilion and cabin so this is a rain or shine event. Bring a paddlecraft or small sailboat (no motors allowed) to enjoy the lake.

We are excited to kick-off the indoor season with our featured guest speaker: Nick Turney, a sailing leader at The Foundry. Nick will present an overview of the MetroParks Parker Community Sailing Center at the E55th marina that is slated to open Summer, 2026. CABBS will have a role in presenting youth education classes at what will be an amazing addition to the Cleveland lakefront.

At our end-of-year holiday / business meeting we will get a recap on the year and a forecast for 2026 as we make the transition to a new operating model. We will elect a new Board of Governors for 2026.
We will also hear three short presentations on adventures from this past summer while sharing holiday cheer: A sailing adventure to the North Channel, a week at a Canadian boatbuilding shop, and … to be determined.
The CABBS Six-Hour Canoe boatbuilding class will start March 3, 2018. Over five consecutive Saturdays, you will build a boat. Interested? Follow along here.
