CLASS FEE: $175

INTRO TO STITCH-N-GLUE CONSTRUCTION
Learn Stitch-n-Glue construction hands-on as you and classmates build a 12ft. wooden paddleboard. You will stitch the board from marine plywood, glue the board with epoxy fillets, create a deck using cedar strip-building techniques and seal the hull in fiberglass cloth set in epoxy. With those basis skills under your belt you will be ready to tackle your own scratch build project or work from a kit.
Interested in building your own board as you take the class? We can make that happen. Send your contact info to cabbsmail@gmail.com and we can discuss your interest.

LYMAN RESTORATION PROJECT
It looks like a wreck now but this 1954 Lyman Islander has a rosy future ahead of it. For you it’s an 18ft. learning opportunity. We will replace planking, rebuild the stem and forefoot, re-deck the bow and gunwale, redo the varnish and paint. You will learn hands on as you participate.
As the project develops throughout the year, we will have scheduled training classes to prep for the work ahead. You do not need to be a regular on the restoration crew to participate in the classes.
WHEN: Starting February 19, 2024, meeting weekly on Monday evenings 7 – 9 PM.
CLASS FEE: Open to all CABBS members at no charge. Interested but not a member of CABBS? Simply join CABBS. Dues are $35/year. Follow this link to the mail-in registration form.
